In my previous blog, I spoke about adding a Floating Prompt as a In-App Guidance.

Let’s recap the use cases that we are trying to solve uing In-App Guidance.

  1. To guide the users on how to create a new Case on Case Record List page. (We have solved this in my previous blog.)
  2. Show a message on Home Screen about Summer ’19 Release.

Let’s find a solution for the second use case.

Go to Setup. Search fo In-App Guidance in Quick Find and click In-App Guidance.

On top right corner, click App Prompt. In the next screen, click Open Authoring Bar.

The Prompt Authoring bar will be opened in a new tab. Also ensure you are on the Home page.

Now, on the Prompt Authoring bar, click Add Prompt.

We will be creating a docked prompt today. Hence select Docked Prompt on screen and click Next.

In the Permission screen, select Everyone and click Next.

Here, please fill your content for the prompt as follows:

  2. Set the Time to Show as 2 and Days in Between as 1 under Frequency section.
  3. Click Next.

Fill the details for your prompt as follows:

  1. Set Prompt Name as Summer ’19 Release Prompt. The API Name field will be auto-populated.
  2. Leave the Description blank and click Save & Preview.

You will see a preview of your new prompt. Click Done on top of the page.

That’s it. Try it yourself in your pre-release org. Also, try adding an Action Button to your screen and see the magic.

Adios!!!
